Tax eFile – Smart Service-Based E-Commerce Website
Challenge
The client needed a custom UI/UX design and a user-friendly interface tailored to a finance-oriented audience. Required the ability to sell digital services using WooCommerce without using the default checkout system. Needed a fully automated integration between WooCommerce and Stripe — so that any created/updated/deleted product in WooCommerce would automatically sync with Stripe’s product, pricing, and checkout API. Required storing the generated Stripe checkout links dynamically inside WooCommerce, so users could click and be redirected to a service-specific checkout. Requested a live chat feature with automation features like a pre-chat form and searchable knowledge base.
Solution
Harbor Sourcing designed a clean, conversion-focused UI/UX experience along with custom graphic design elements tailored for the tax/finance industry. Developed the website on WordPress with WooCommerce, giving the client flexibility to manage service listings as products. Implemented custom WooCommerce–Stripe API integration that automatically syncs products to Stripe on create, update, or delete — including product name, price, and generating Stripe-hosted checkout links. The checkout link is automatically saved in WooCommerce product meta fields, and used on the frontend “Buy Now” button — sending users straight to a secure Stripe checkout for that specific service. Integrated and configured Tawk.to live chat, with a pre-chat form, and built out a self-help knowledge base to reduce support tickets and improve engagement.
Results
A fully automated service checkout system that saves time, reduces manual errors, and improves user trust via Stripe’s secure platform. Website visitors can now select and pay for services within minutes — directly via unique checkout links for each product. The admin no longer needs to manually update Stripe when products change — saving significant operational time. Live chat functionality improved real-time support and user satisfaction, with the knowledge base reducing repetitive queries. The end result was a clean, efficient, and scalable solution that supports both digital product sales and customer service automation.
